Baojiang Chen, PhD, is a Professor of Biostatistics and Data Science at the Austin campus of UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. He is affiliated with the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living.
Dr. Chen is an active member of the HEAT Lab. His research supports a wide range of public health topics including physical activity and nutrition, tobacco use, mental health, and social well-being among children and adolescents. His work has been funded by the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Chen has extensive experience applying advanced statistical methods to medical, public health, behavioral, and social science research. His areas of expertise include longitudinal data analysis, missing data/measurement error, survival analysis, statistical methods for handling skewed data, and the evaluation of diagnostic tests, etc. He is well published in these areas.
